Sitting just 800m below the village of Villanueva de la Concepción lies this charming and spacious country cottage. One of the great features of this property is that it is within walking distance to the village with its bank, shops, restaurants and traditional Spanish tapas bars. It has a bustling Monday Market and you can buy fresh fish, bread and meat on a daily basis in the village shops. This, combined with the lovely rural cottage feel of the house make it a very desirable smaller holiday home.

Fantastic views, delightful terraces and a pretty swimming pool, all in a corner of the valley, provide all one could desire for the perfect holiday in the hills of Andalucia. La Era has 2 good size bedrooms (one double and one twin). There is a fully fitted bathroom and W.C. The living area is open plan, light, spacious and airy with beautiful high beamed ceilings. The kitchen area is an eclectic mix of rustic wood and ceramics, typical of Andalucia. A wooden breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the living and dining areas. There is a feature open fireplace in the living room, which is equipped with SAT TV, video and CD player. Outside the swimming pool area is particularly attractive, views from the terraces are stunning. There are plenty of sunbeds, a dining area and a barbecue. This is a really special family holiday villa and one of our most popular houses.

The villa is only a 20 minute drive to reach the main A45 motorway, which takes you to all the major cities such as Granada and Cordoba, plus Antequera and Malaga are both within 1 - 2 hours drive away. The nearby lakes and gorges of El Chorro, Andalucia's lake district, have long been one of the area's great attractions, less know to visitors but well known to the locals. The turquoise blue lakes and pine forests, with shoreline beaches are the perfect place to spend a day fishing, boating or swimming, there are even barbeque and camping sites provided. Of course, Marbella and the coast are only a 45 minute drive away, should a day of shopping be on your mind. Closer to home you can discover the delights of the stunning El Torcal Park, with its unique Lunar rock formations.
